From 938 to 965: Ngo Dynasty.

From 968 to 980: Dinh Dynasty.

From 981 to 1009: The first Le Dynasty.

From 1009 to 1225: Ly Dynasty

From 1225 to 1400: Tran Dynasty.

From 1400 to 1407: Ho Dynasty

From 1407 to 1427: Occupation Ming.

From 1428 to 1527: The 2nd Le dynasty

From 1527 to 1592: Dynasty Mac

From 1627 to 1672: War between the Trinh and Nguyen.

From 1802 to 1945: Nguyen Dynasty.

    January 1973: Signature of the Paris Agreements with the U.S. military withdrawal from Vietnam.

    April 30, 1975: Reunification of Vietnam.

    July 2, 1976: New name of Vietnam: Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

    1986: Application of the policy of renovation (Doi Moi).

    1994: Lifting the U.S. embargo against Vietnam.

    1995: Integration with the Association of the Southeast Asian (ASEAN)

    2007: Accession to the WTO.
